Storm

Storm-Description

The trees fiercely rock side to side as if it is the finals of the world boxing match. Punching each twig as the fall to the ground. The clouds scowl at you like a flock of grey, mid aged, ravishing eagles. Mother bird appears from nowhere, black, fierce and mean. She comes to feed first. All the other clouds follow as if she has something to give to them. Mother bird dives down and all other birds follow turning black instantly. The rain falls from the sky so hard it feels like horse pellets are falling onto you when they land. The world feels like it is covered in a trampoline has covered the earth because the rain bounces off the surface when they hit a sudden surface. The lightning cuts through the sky with the blade of a brand new knife. Thye smell of wet dog forms in a thick layer surrunding the earth. The sound of a blunt knife cutting through salty burnt crackling shoots through your ears as the lightning strikes. The southerly winds howl off the foreshore from the choppy sea.

School: Transportation

In the mornings girls come from all over the place. I live relativelyclose to school but some girls live really far away. Some girls get dropped off at school by parents and others catch pubic transport. In my case I have to live the horrible life of being squashed like a sardine into a metal container almost ready to be eaten by something, (well maybe the eaten part is a bit unrealistic but you get my picture. I DON”T LIKE IT!!!!!). Parents; they just don’t get it! Lugging a saxophone plus a sports bag, school bag and a tennis racquet on public transport is not fun.

The main reason why I hate train trips so much is because it is almost like a judging panel like gymnastics competition in some instances. By the time you have sat next to them (the strangers the people who sit next to you) they know which book you are reading, if you have just started, if you are a slow reader or if you are a fast reader. They know what type of deoderant you wear and if a bird has pooped on your school dress and you have tried to cover it with air refresherner.

At my old school it was like an unwritten rule that you talk to the person next to you or at least say hello. On the train the first time I ever caught it, I said hello and suddenly it was like a flock of birds had just seen me as their prey but they are waiting because they want to torture me  until they eat me. I would have sworn that their eyes glowed red in the dark. Well they do say you learn something new every day and I guess you just don’t say hello on a train but you do on a bus.

Please leave a comment on how you get to school and your embarassing moments on public transport.

Book Week!

At our school book week is very speacial. Our gorgeous libarian Mrs Hills reads us 6 books that are mean’t for children between the ages of 3-6 (aka books for early childhood). After she has read us all books, Mrs Hills gives us 3 marbles to vote which book was our favourite.

Below are the books that Mrs Hills read to us:

Out of theese books my favourite was Fearless, but my favourite early childhood book was Are We There Yet by Alison Lester. I have a lot of memories reading that book. Mum used to read it to me every week and I enjoyed it so much I fell asleep reading it then mum would kiss me of the forehead and turn off the light.

Feel free to leave a comment about your favourite books.

Jessica Watson visit our school!!

Hello Everyone,

Hope everyone has been reading my blog. I will try to post more often just getting my head around my blog.

It was very exciting years K-11 came into the massive hall. The bell went at 10 o’clock instead of 10:15. We knew something was going on. Year 6 had the oppurtunity of sitting up stairs and have Jessica walk past us with her Mum. The talk first started off with a video that started off with no sound. Eventually the tech people got the sound working it was very interesting. The mum told us (in the video) that no one told her face to face that she couldn’t complete the goal she had set for herself. She said everyone publisised it on the media but never told her face to face. The talk was very interesting and exciting.

Emotions

At school this week we have been learning about poems in english.

We have used a technique by using your senses to write a poem.

In class we have figured out that it is easier to write about negitive emotions than positive.

Loneliness; It lurks in the corners of an empty room

The taste of blankness fills your mouth when you eat

Everyone walks; no one even thinks to care

Your life gets filled with dread and regret

The black hole keeps opening wider and wider

You feel like you’re sweating depression

Your happiness get burnt out of you like a bushfire surrounding,

Loneliness

Please leave a comment about your emotions or leave a poem that you have written.

Books

Books. Some people are book worms and others just don’t like books. To be fare I’m a bit of an inbetween. When I find a book I like I won’t put it down but if I don’t like I won’t read it. Just like the old saying “Life’s to short to read books you don’t like’. The only problem is I find it really hard to find books I like. If you don’t mind posting about books you like. Then tell us about them because I know a lot of people are on my page.
